I really do like your vision with this peice. Instead of putting her in the runes of long lost cities of Roman and Greek past, like so many movies and stories do, you put her in the time when that city buildings did indeed stand tall. How you use the light makes me think thta she was viewed as the conquering hero by the people that she represented instead of the cursed anti-hero that one hears about consistantly in the old and new stories. Using a model that has the warrior strength upper body/human half for this piece made me believe she could acutally be passed of as the real character. Furthermore, How her waist melds into the snake looks nearly flawless. The snake portions of the medusa character is another strength of the piece, it looks very real. Add in the snakes as hair and you did a overall great job.
